Coupon run: what it is – Dictionary of Economics

It is the portion of the coupon of an obligation or bond that has accrued since the date the last coupon was paid, or since the date of issuance (if none has yet been collected). In general, the calculation is made by multiplying the nominal interest rate by the period of time that has elapsed since it began to accrue.
