This week the 2021-2022 Income Campaign begins, the annual appointment of taxpayers with the Treasury to settle the accounts regarding the Personal Tax (IRPF) that last year already brought together more than 21.7 million people and that for this exercise they will present very similar figures.
Since many people are obliged to file the Income Statement due to the nature or amount of their income during the 2021 financial year (in parallel to those people who are not obliged, they are compensated by the presentation of the draft), it is important to take into account the most important dates of the Campaign so as not to incur unjustified delays with the Treasury that may lead to sanctions.
The website of the Tax Agency to the taxpayer’s calendar, which specifies the different existing deadlines depending on the type of presentation and the method of payment or collection chosen for the declarations.
The first big date is Wednesday April 6, since that is when the Income Campaign begins with access to the draft on the website of the Tax Agency. As of today, returns can be submitted online, also from the mobile application of the Tax Agency. There are three ways to obtain the Income draft: with a digital certificate (), with Cl@ve () and with the reference number ().
It will be from Tuesday, May 3, when the deadline for requesting a prior appointment for filing statements by telephone opens. The request for a prior appointment can be made on the website of the Tax Agency or by calling the agency’s telephone numbers 901 12 12 24 or 91 535 73 26.
As of Thursday, May 5, taxpayers will be able to file returns by telephone with an official from the Tax Agency.
Thursday, May 26, will be the first day on which you can make an appointment to file your Income Tax return at a Tax Agency office. This appointment can be requested on the agency’s website or by calling 901 22 33 44 and 91 553 00 71.
From Wednesday, June 1, the period for the preparation and presentation of Income statements will open at the offices of the Tax Agency with the assistance of an official of the organization.
Monday, June 27, will be the deadline to submit the Income Statements with the result to be entered, provided that taxpayers choose the option of direct debit as the method.
Wednesday, June 29, will be the last day to request an appointment both to file Income Tax returns by phone and to do so at an office of the Tax Agency.
Thursday, June 30, is the last day of the Income Campaign, so it will be the last day to present the Income statements regardless of the modality chosen by the taxpayer. All submissions that take place after this day will be considered delivered after the deadline.
