Danone hires former Minister González Laya as advisor seven months after leaving the Government

Arancha González Laya has a new job. The former Minister of Foreign Affairs, a position from which she was dismissed seven months ago, has been appointed as a new independent adviser to Danone, according to the Transparency Portal and advances by La Información.

The French company explains that the former head of Foreign Affairs will be an advisor to an external Danone Global committee where there are ten more people so that the company can fulfill the stated purpose of being an Enterprise à Mission.

González Laya was dismissed last summer after being surrounded by various controversies such as hosting the leader of the Polisario Front in the Logroño hospital or the subsequent migratory conflict with Morocco.

In fact, the Ghali case has not gone unnoticed by the justice system and the former minister is being investigated. In March, Judge Rafael Lasala filed the investigation for the former chief of staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Camilo Villarino, but dismissed the request of the State Attorney to close the proceedings for Laya.
