Electricity price today February 28 by the hour: when is it cheaper and when is it more expensive to put appliances

Very high figures when compared to the price set a year ago, when the MWh cost 14.05 euros.

Regarding the daily variation, the cheapest sections are concentrated in the early hours of the day. It is between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. when the price is at its lowest curve to settle at 218.97 euros/MWh.

At what time is electricity more expensive?

On the contrary, the central hours of the morning as well as those closest to dusk represent the highest cost, reaching 346 euros/MWh between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Why does the price of electricity vary so much?

This constant increase in prices, as well as its variation, is due to the higher cost of gas in international markets, which is used in combined cycle plants. As these are the most expensive, they are the ones that, in general, mark the price in most hours.

Direct consequence of the conflict with a supplying Russia, the price has risen in the last few hours, which affects the pockets of consumers on the electricity bill.
