Electricity price today March 2 by the hour: when is it cheaper and when is it more expensive to put appliances

The second day of March continues with a high price on the main energies (gas, gasoline, butane, electricity…), with electricity assuming one of the great concerns for what has been seen as February has brought the . As shown by the data from the (OMIE), the organization that manages the electricity markets of Spain and Portugal and collects their rates, the average price of electricity in Spain during this Wednesday, March 2, is 254.03 euros/ MWh. Very high figures when compared to the price set a year ago, when the MWh cost 52.69 euros.

At what time is electricity cheaper?

With regard to the daily variation, as usual, the cheapest sections are concentrated both in the early hours of the day and in the early hours of the afternoon. This leads the section between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to be the most profitable, with the curve reaching its lowest point with 204.15 euros/MWh.

At what time is electricity more expensive?

On the contrary, the central hours of the morning as well as those closest to dusk represent the highest cost, reaching 305 euros/MWh between 8:00 and 9:00.

Why does the price of electricity vary so much?
