Ranking of Companies ESP250 Health

A healthcare with full autonomy

Informa D&B and elEconomista.es present the fourth edition of the ESP250 Health Ranking, a comprehensive analysis of the evolution of Spanish companies in the healthcare sector over the last year. Throughout this year, the companies have managed to achieve a turnover of 72,000 million euros and have supported 308,400 jobs, making it one of the main drivers of the Spanish economy.

The healthcare sector has demonstrated its key role in recent years following a global pandemic and supply chain crisis. At the gates of the year 2023, the Government is preparing for its next presidency of the European Council. The main point on the Executive’s agenda will focus on reinforcing the strategic autonomy of the European Union, a key element to guarantee access to the most efficient and innovative treatments at the most necessary moment.

The Spanish Presidency arrives in the last stretch of the institutional cycle, just before the European Parliament elections to be held in May 2024, which will mean that it will be in charge of closing a large number of open files throughout these last four years with a Commission that has been very active in proposing new regulations: the European Health Data Space, the European plan to fight cancer, the pharmaceutical strategy or the creation of the European Authority for Preparedness and Response to health emergencies.

The Spanish Presidency aspires to focus on reinforcing strategic autonomy after the lessons of the global pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine.

With this conjuncture on the table, it is necessary for businessmen to be able to make the best decisions with the most practical instruments. For this reason, once again the ESP250 Health ranking aspires to become a guide with which professionals in the sector can follow its evolution, its strength and spark new initiatives. Health.
