Feria Valencia brings together almost a thousand exhibitors with home equipment on the rise

Close to a thousand exhibitors linked to furniture and home equipment show their offer at Feria Valencia these days. A presence that adds up to 90,000 square meters and that is possible due to the confluence for the first time of the Hábitat Fair, the heir to the historic Furniture Fair, with the other two major events related to the sector such as Espacio Cocina SICI, a professional event for the furniture and equipment for the kitchen, and Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar, which returns to Valencia after five editions in Madrid.

The exhibition anticipates the presence of more than 3,000 international buyers from 63 countries who have received a direct invitation to attend the event through a campaign promoted by Feria Valencia itself and IVACE Internacional and ICEX together with Anieme, Fedai and Ateval.

Habitat returns driven by the good times in the furniture sector, which is showing remarkable dynamism after the pandemic. The year-on-year rate of evolution of sales of Spanish furniture manufacturers grew by 5.4% during the second quarter of 2022 and is expected to grow by 1.7% in the third quarter, according to the AIDIMME Spanish Furniture Market Observatory.

Exports once again pull the sector with a growth of 12.4% and a turnover of 1,440 million euros in the first half of the year, according to official statistics from ICEX and Anieme.

In addition, this year’s edition coincides with the celebration of Valencia as World Design Capital 2022, which has multiplied the conferences and events related to interior design and furniture on this occasion. A balm for a fair institution hard hit by the effects of the pandemic.
