Financing course #6. Reward crowdfunding – .com

In the sixth class of the startup financing course, we deal with reward crowdfunding, which, in addition to financing, validates our idea.

In fact, we could consider that we start the mini-section of the course in which we will deal with crowdfunding. It is a relatively new methodology (the best-known platform, Kickstarter, is barely 10 years old), but due to its many advantages it has become very popular.

We will get not only funding for our product or service, but it is also a great marketing tool (which could go viral), to grow our community and validation. If our product or service is not going to be in demand, it is better to know as soon as possible! Let’s see it!

What do you think? Reward crowdfunding is powerful, right? If you want to go deeper, you have one by the great master Valentí Acconcia at .

But as you can see, not all are advantages. The main hurdle is being able to launch hard and you may not have a community to ask for support (or the time and money to build it).

But as a validation tool, it’s like no other: people don’t just tell you if they like your product or service, they buy it! And as a financing tool, it can (and in some cases should) be part of your overall financing strategy.

I recommend that you analyze the examples that we have seen, which may sound familiar to some of you, and which are worth studying with this new perspective on business financing. Let’s go for it!
