Fines of 100 to 600 euros: radars against those who exceed 30 km/h in the city are already present

Fully in the first week with the in most streets of Spanish cities, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) together with the local authorities of each municipality, has already begun to install mobile radars to detect the fastest offenders. In up to eight cities, these devices have been notified, which control that there are no fines of up to 600 euros.

From the portal , the application for sharing traffic data in real time, the sighting of up to eight new radars in eight Spanish cities has been reported. A fact that is in line with the measure approved last Tuesday, May 11, when the speed reduction on a large part of urban roads from 50 to 30 km/h came into force.

As a general rule, lowering the limit allowed in those streets with only one lane per direction of traffic, the new sanctioning devices have been captured in Cáceres, Palencia, Málaga, Castro Urdiales, Zaragoza, Baracaldo, Valladolid and Almendralejo. Some mobile radars, since most of them go inside vehicles that pretend to be common or hidden behind objects, which have the objective of guaranteeing that nobody puts road safety at risk.

For this reason, with sanctions ranging from 100 to 600 euros and from 0 to 6 points, these are the limits from which these radars already fine since May 11:

On roads with a 50 km/h limit

– Between 51 and 70 km/h: fine of 100 euros without points.

– Between 71 and 80 km/h: fine of 300 euros and 2 points.

– Between 81 and 90 km/h: fine of 400 euros and 2 points.

– Between 91 and 100 km/h: fine of 500 euros and 6 points.

– From 101 km/h: fine of 600 euros and 6 points.

On roads with a 30 km/h limit

– Between 31 and 50 km/h: fine of 100 euros without points.

– Between 51 and 60 km/h: fine of 300 euros and 2 points.

– Between 61 and 70 km/h: fine of 400 euros and 2 points.

– Between 71 and 80 km/h: fine of 500 euros and 6 points.

– ?From 81 km/h: fine of 600 euros and 6 points.

On roads with a 20 km/h limit

– Between 21 and 40 km/h: fines of 100 euros without points.

– Between 41 and 50 km/h: fines of 300 euros and 2 points.

– Between 51 and 60 km/h: fines of 400 euros and 4 points.

– Between 61 and 70 km/h: fines of 500 euros and 6 points.

– From 71 km/h: fines of 600 euros and 6 points.
