The prefabricated house sector has been experiencing a boom since the start of the pandemic. Thus, companies such as , which aims to “better educate and inspire consumers to bring sustainability to their own lives, and presented a 17-square-meter mobile home. Here, in Spain, you can also find homes under this same philosophy .
1. The mini prefabricated houses of ‘Tiny-houses.es’
The company ‘tiny-houses.es’, based in Zaragoza, has more than 2000 square meters of facilities and infrastructure to manufacture up to 15 houses together. And all of them are made with reflective thermal insulation of the highest quality, complete kitchens and bathrooms, and air conditioning/heating. In addition, they are electrically self-sufficient, by solar means, and have a cumulative service and rainwater collection so as not to depend on supplies.
Also, the company gives the option of making the house with an approved trailer or on a platform to be transported by truck. However, in any case they are totally mobile and the transfer is done in minutes, since they do not need foundations or civil works.
2. ‘Paloma’, the Ladislao Group’s mini prefabricated house model
The Asturian group Ladislao designs and manufactures this mini house in wood. It has a full bathroom and shower, a kitchen with 2 hotplates, an extractor fan, a refrigerator, a washing machine and a microwave. It has a living room with television and two bedrooms in two mezzanines, one opposite the other, with access by stairs, one mobile and one fixed. The price with VAT amounts to 44,165 euros.
3. The mini prefabricated houses of the Madrid project ‘Tiny Mobile Homes’
The Madrid architecture studio Delavegacanolasso and Ricardo de Zulueta, a strategic consultant in New York, have launched the Tiny Home project: small prefabricated houses to return to the countryside. A 32 square meter prefabricated shelter for weekend getaways or a 20 square meter office to set up in the garden are the first two specific proposals. However, the architecture studio offers the possibility of designing new options by adding several modules: “Starting from the tiny shelter module (34m2), 2 or 3 modules can be joined, creating larger spaces of 68m2 or 102m2”.
These types of houses include a complete bathroom, kitchen, integrated pine wood furniture, integrated LED lighting, plugs, switches and sockets. In addition, it has a 1000 liter water tank, a battery installation and a 2000 liter septic tank. Thus, these models are totally self-sufficient, but the company gives the option of connecting to the water, electricity and sanitation of the plot where it is going to be installed. What it does not include is a mattress, cushions, seats or other additional decorative elements.
4. Village C5, the mini prefabricated house by Home Center
The Catalan company Homer Center has specialized since 2009 in the sale of prefabricated houses made of wood and concrete. Thus, you can find a wide catalog of models. In the small field, the Village C5 option stands out, which is sold for 26,000 euros. It is a 27-square-meter house with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a multipurpose area, with a kitchen, dining room and living room.
5. Alucasa mobile prefabricated houses
Alucasa ‘Gala’ model
Alucasa is a company from Alicante that, since 1977, has been dedicated to the manufacture of mobile homes, bungalows and prefabricated houses. Specifically, they are focused on mobile homes, a type of home equipped with a chassis, wheels and drawbar, which make it 100% transportable. Thus, its transfer is very simple since it does not need to be disassembled previously and, in addition, it is not necessary to fix it to the ground by any means.
Among its extensive catalogue, one of the company’s novelties stands out: the ‘Gala’ model. It is a design that stands out for its open distribution between the kitchen, the living room and the entrance, which provides the perfect opportunity to achieve that feeling of freedom and connection with nature.
