Google buys Senosis to be able to analyze your blood… through your smartphone

Senosis was born in 2015 by the hand of Jim TaylorProfessor at the University of Washington, Mike Clarke and Shwetal Patelscientists from the same university center who co-founded the project and has transformed the use of the smartphone into a medical device in which Various medical conditions can be monitored.

What does Senosis do?

Incredible as it may seem, Senosis does use of the camera of our mobile to detect diseases such as jaundice in babies, as well as measure hemoglobin in the blood, which can detect diseases such as anemia. In addition Senosis can also use the microphone of our device determine if you have asthma or cystic fibrosis, among other examples.

Google seeks to lead in digital health

Apparently Senosis employees will be integrated into , the Alphabet firm dedicated to health sciences, although its headquarters will continue to be in Seattle. The company so far has only 12 employees that they undertook the project with a million dollars that they obtained from the University of Washington and were beginning to try to build one.
