Google Merchant Center Management – .com

It’s been a crazy morning. that Google Merchant Center was opened in Spain, and since then I have not stopped preparing feeds and checking that everything is ready for the opening of Google Shopping. Let’s do a quick review of what Google Merchant Center has to offer.

What is Google Merchant Center?

Simple! It is a tool that allows you to upload information about the products you sell.

And where are the products that I introduce to Google Merchant Center displayed?

1. : The Google product search engine, which will arrive in Spain shortly.

2. : AdWords ads with photo and product information. Of this on several occasions, and it is yet to arrive in Spain. Essential if you use PPC strategies in your Online Marketing plan.

3. : Google tool that is used to use its search technology to enhance the websites of sellers… and yes… it is still to come to Spain.

So what good is it to me now?

In Google they say that Google Shopping Spain will see the light “in the coming months.” In other words, we must move from NOW to “put all our products on the shelves” for when Google Shopping opens the blinds.

Oh my gosh, I want it! How do I do it?

Well the easy way is like google shopping manager to manage your feeds in Google Merchant Center ;). But if you are one of those who prefer to do Juan Palomo, you can continue reading.

To upload the file, you can do it directly through your Google Merchant Center account (files less than 20MB)or by FTP (more than 20MB). It can also be done automatically, and Google gets the file from your website (less than 15MB).

I recommend you start doing experiments right now, because there is always the typical little problem with the data feeds… that if you don’t catch them, that if there is a typographical error, that if some strange character in the description cuts the feed, etc etc. Once Google catches your feeds, they become “products” that appear in your control panel, already available for Google Shopping, Product Ads and Google Commerce Search:

I have been working with one for some time, as I already told you, and the truth is that the training has been worth it, because now I am much more comfortable in the interface.

I recommend everyone to get their batteries ready now, to have everything ready for the inauguration of Google Shopping! 🙂
