I want to turn some categories that I don’t use often into tags. I think it’s better for search engines to focus on the important categories. Another option is to remove the categories from the menu or make them invisible, but I don’t think it would be the best for SEO.
I have a question about how to convert categories into labels to avoid broken links on the web with categories that no longer exist. I have it set up so that the word “category” doesn’t appear in the link. For example:
In WordPress Tools I have seen a category and tag converter, but it is a plugin that has not been updated for 5 years and has not been tested with the most recent version of WP.
