Intranet-friendly themes
Most WordPress themes are compatible for the creation of an Intranet, however, the choice of the best theme must be related to the needs of the company, the style and profile that they want to apply to this private space and the functionalities of each theme.
There are commercial themes designed for BuddyPress:, such as those indicated in this link:
It does not mean that you cannot use other options, such as the free themes from the WordPress theme directory that you can find in your WordPress dashboard through the menu “Appearance > Topics“.
To create our test intranet we will use the theme, which is available in the free WordPress plugins directory. You can locate through the dashboard menu of your website in “Appearance > Topics > Add a new theme“.
Other free themes we recommend are any other themes you want to install from the WordPress Themes directory, as most of the themes in this directory are compatible with BuddyPress.
You can also take the opportunity to configure your Intranet in a more dynamic way using the Divi visual builder that also offers a variety of themes to choose from for your company’s Intranet.
