It is feasible to install the mod. of redsys from their page to install…

Hello Montse,

Before changing the plugin to the new version adapted to the SHA256 signature, we must have the new encryption key of the merchant, since it changes with the migration to SHA256. To obtain the new encryption key we will have to access the virtual POS administration through the address and, once inside, click on “Admin Virtual POS”. Next, click on the “Shops” link on the left. On the page that loads, click on “VIEW PASSWORD”. We will have to re-enter the username and password to access the virtual POS. Once this is done, a pop-up window will be displayed where we can see the new SHA256 encryption key that we will have to copy. We can see more information about this process on the Redsys help page looking for the text “How do I activate the new type of signature?”. If we have problems during this process, we can request help from the bank with which the payment gateway has been contracted or call the Redsys support telephone number 902 19 87 47.

The merchant code (FUC) and the terminal number would remain as they were. We must have these 2 data, along with the new encryption key to be able to use the new Redsys system with SHA 256.

It is also recommended that before applying the changes, a complete backup of the website is made.

To update the Redsys module to the new version compatible with the SHA256 signature, we will access the client area and in the main menu we will go to Support->Downloads. Once inside the download area, click on the “Redsys SHA256 payment gateway patches” category and download the files “Redsys Patch for PrestaShop (1/2)” and “Redsys Patch for PrestaShop (2/2)”.

We upload the redsys_prestashop_mp.zip file downloaded to the root of the website (it can be the public_html directory or the directory within the previous one where we have placed the PrestaShop) and unzip the zip. Next we upload the file redsys_prestashop_payment_mp.zip in the path themes/THEME_NAME/modules/redsys/views/templates/hook of PrestaShop, where THEME_NAME is the name of the theme we are using. We can use the CPanel file manager to perform this task. In this way the files of the payment gateway will be updated.

Now we go to the PrestaShop administration to Modules->Modules and enter the configuration of the Redsys module. We check that all the data is correct, applying the necessary changes. The secret key must be the new one and the “HTTP Notification” parameter must be activated. Once the changes have been applied, click on “Save configuration”. With this modification the payment gateway would be updated.

It is important that we make a real proof of purchase using this payment method, so that we can verify that it connects correctly with the Redsys gateway, the payment can be made and the status of the order is updated when the payment has been successful.

Cheers
