In this case, and as last year, the Norgerbuss company is looking for bus drivers to join its staff, and for this it has resorted to the offers of the EURES network in Spain
Norgerbuss AS. Rogaland is a transport company founded in 2016 that currently has 450 workers and a fleet of more than 150 buses. More than 50 Spanish drivers already work there, as explained by EURES.
The specific offer extended by in Spain seeks drivers for its headquarters in Stavanger, a port city in the southwest of Norway and the capital of the province with 130,000 inhabitants.
Requirements to work as a bus driver in Norway
The company’s offer requests the following requirements from applicants:
-Valid D+CAP driving license
-At least 6 months of experience
-Vocation for having good customer service and teamwork
-Completion of a course prior to incorporation, Norwegian language and culture. The language course can obtain funding from the EURES network.
-Knowing how to speak English will also be taken into account, but it is not an essential requirement.
The offer states that the intention is to create permanent and stable jobs in this city, known for being a maritime transport hub and the fourth largest in the country.
In addition, the company undertakes to provide specific training to those selected and support in the search for accommodation and disembarkation in the country, in addition to helping with the documentation.
Base salary of 37,000 euros per year
Salary is governed by state collective agreements. In this case, the base salary for a bus driver starts at 37,000 euros per year, although the average salary with extra pay and bonuses for night shifts usually reaches 40,000, which translates into an average of 3,300 euros gross per month.
The salary includes bonuses for shift work and overtime. In addition, aid for gym payment also enters into the contract.
