Orange starts using WhatsApp as a new customer service channel

WhatsApp is the messaging service most used by the Spanish that, in most cases, has already replaced phone calls. Now, Orange has been the first operator in the country to enable its customer service through this channel.

Teleco’s approach to launching this service is to “simplify interaction as much as possible,” as explained in a statement. In the event that customers want to contact Orange, they can do so 365 days a year from their usual app.

To do so, all you have to do is open a conversation with the subject to be discussed at the telephone number 653 85 00 85, which is the one that Orange has enabled for your queries through WhatsApp. Of course, in the event that you want to use this communication channel, it will be necessary for the conversation to be carried out from the line for which the management is needed.

“Orange must be where it makes contact with its customers as easy as possible”

“Many of our clients ask us for a new way of interacting with us away from the traditional telephone and that allows them to continue with their affairs while asking our agents for any type of doubt. Today it is the most used communication channel (95% of Spaniards use it daily), many times even above direct personal contact, and we believe that a company like Orange should be where it makes contact with its customers as easy as possible”, explained Miguel Ángel Carrasco, director of customer service at the operator.

Likewise, Orange has wanted to clarify that contact through WhatsApp will not replace any of the previous options. In this way, it will be possible to continue contacting the operator through its service telephone number, the Mi Orange application, in person in stores and on social networks.
