Through this, a link will suffice so that it can be sent to your contacts through mail, messages, or a blog, so that the payment process is facilitated and speeded up. To use this new format, eThe recipient will only have to enter an amount, press the button «Send« and the money will begin to be transferred immediately to the requesting PayPal account (note, a PayPal account is still required).
PayPal.me bridges the gap for online payment requests
In that context, PayPal has significantly reduced the number of steps to request a paymentwhich would normally lead to logging in, accessing the payment request tools, entering an email account of the recipient of the request and then following other steps until the collection or payment was completed.
To avoid confusion with the amounts, you can also add the specific figure to pay (that is, you can type «paypal.me/user/10» and so you would be asking the other person for a payment of 10 euros.
Something that stands out in Paypal.me is the possibility of creating a personalized profile, being able to choose between using it for payments of «Friends and family» (something a bit more personal) or «Products and services» (for functions within small or medium businesses). Of course, there are certain differences between these 2 aspects:
- For “Friends and family«, send or receive payments can be free (depending on the payment method and the country from which they pay).
- For “Products and services“, customers or buyers will enjoy ‘PayPal Buyer Protection’, and will always have the option to check the box for ‘Products and Services’ if they buy any items from you.

The dynamics under which this new PayPal solution unfolds lies in the day-to-day life of people and companies, who regularly “small debts”, but they can accumulate in an uncomfortable way. A dinner to be paid for by several friends, a gift bought together or a small purchase from a supplier are examples of this type of operation.
