Run a slightly special cron job

Hello:

The query that we are going to do is actually a bit… between Prestashop and non-Prestashop, frankly. We put it here because our store works under Prestashop. We propose it to you because we know that with your knowledge you have no problem clarifying it for us, but we will accept with a good face if at a given moment you tell us that it does not correspond. We don’t really know:

We have an Acumbamail module installed. This module allows us to put forms on the page and a few other things, but above all we have it because at the bottom it has a check that if we mark it (manually each time) and accept, it synchronizes the users that They have been registered in the Prestashop newsletter with the Acumbamail lists. This is always done manually (that is, you have to go to the module, check and accept. Always). We have consulted Acumbamail to find out if it cannot be automated with a Cron task or something similar and they have responded positively, but it has not been clear to us what and how. The answer we have is:

“You need to make a call to a function of our plugin >private function subscribeNewsletterClients($client_subscription_list) passing it the identifier of the list. It depends on how you make the call, if you want to make a page in your store, to which you can make a get or a wget message from a shell and that below call this function.”

I insist: If you consider that the consultation does not correspond, we will look for life, but …. Could you tell us a little or give us a place to go to know what all that means? and once the page is made with what you need, what would the cron task that we would have to program be like?

Thank you very much as always for your help. Let’s see if you can tell us something. A cordial greeting.
