Savings doubles the openings and invoices 1,800 million in 2021

The Savings supermarket chain closed the 2021 financial year with a turnover of 1,800 million euros. It also doubled the number of openings compared to 2020.

The company’s net profit reached 88.5 million euros, compared to 102.4 the previous year. As for the operating result, it stood at 116 million euros, while the EBITDA was 165 million euros.

The total investment reached 148 million euros, 46 million more than the previous year, destined mostly for new openings and reforms. At the end of 2021, the company had 277 supermarkets located in two autonomous communities. During 2021, Savings opened 12 stores and transformed 18 stores. Likewise, the company increased its workforce by 334 people, closing 2021 with a total of 12,044 employees. In terms of growth, Savings maintains its usual growth path of around 2%. Savings had a profit of 88 million euros after taxes.
