This is how “The Crocodile Hunter” to whom Google dedicates its doodle died

Google dedicated its doodle today to Australian Steve Irwin, better known as “The Crocodile Hunter” -for the program he had where he interacted with dangerous wild animals called “The Crocodile”-. He would be 57 years old today.

In September 2006, at the age of 44, Irwin passed away while filming a documentary in Port Douglas, Queensland, North Australia. During filming, a manta ray they were recording with pierced his heart with the spike of its tail.

That is why the most used search engine on the Internet is commemorating Steve Irwin.

Although the transfer to the hospital was quick, the man died before reaching the medical facility. Although at first it was said that the animal’s venom killed it, the specialists assured that the sting was the cause of death since the venom only causes severe pain while the spike is capable of injuring like a knife

In the doodle, Irwin is shown hugging a crocodile, an animal that he learned to catch at a very young age to take back to his father’s farm. He became famous for his ability to interact with crocodiles, snakes and other wild animals.
