You have asked Firefox to connect securely to cpXX..xx but the connection cannot be confirmed to be secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites present verified information to make sure you’re on the right site. However, the identity of this site cannot be verified.

What should I do?

If you normally access this site without problems, this error may be occurring because someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn’t continue.

If your paranoia level is high, you will most likely end up clicking Get me out of here! and try to access by other means or simply desist from accessing.

However, if you consider that it is only an informational notice and you want to solve it From now on, in this brief guide we will show you how easy it is to solve this type of situation in a few minutes.

How do you manage to solve this problem?, Simple, creating an exception! so that the notice no longer appears and the certificate is validated correctly.

sec_error_untrusted_issuer

This is an error returned by the Firefox browser when accessing a website that requires a protocol. https and the Issuer’s certificate is not validated in our browser.

Solving the problem

  1. Copy the full name of the link you are trying to access, for example: cpXX..xx:2083
  2. In your Firefox browser, go to preferences.
  3. Advanced, Certificates, See certificates.
  4. Select the certificate that appears at the beginning (Unknown) that you want to validate.
  5. Click (below) add exception.
  6. In Addressafter https:// add the copied url cpXX..xx:2083
  7. click on get certificate.
  8. mark the checkbox Save this exception permanently.
  9. click on Confirm security exception.

After carrying out the process described, the following accesses to https://cpXX..xx:2083 would be validated, we would obtain a secure access channel through the protocol https and the message or warning should not appear again unless we clean “all” navigation traces including certificates, which is not usual.

In case the certificate was valid, the process would not be necessary, since we would see a notice like the following:
