Hello,
After looking at several modules, the one that I think will help you the most to position your website is the following =>
This module will make several changes automatically that will help you improve the positioning. However, these changes can be made manually, without the need to purchase the module. Getting a good positioning of a web page in search engines is not something that can be explained here in a summarized way, since it can be a very laborious task and it can take months to obtain results. There is no magic formula to appear at the top of the search engines.
However, I give you a series of tips that should help your online store made with PrestaShop to position itself better in search engines:
– Activate friendly urls on your website. To do this, go to the PrestaShop administration to Preferences->SEO and URLs. In the Link Configuration section, activate the Friendly Links parameter and save the changes.
– On the same page as before, click on the Generate the robots.txt file button at the bottom.
– Activate the web cache. To do this, go to Advanced Parameters-> Performance and activate the parameter Use Cache?. It will make your page load faster, which can benefit ranking.
– Make sure you put correct metadata for all products in the store. When you are editing a product you have to click on the SEO tab. Put a title, description and keywords according to the product. Same for store categories.
– Make sure you don’t have broken or wrong links on your website, as this could penalize you. It is convenient to use a tool such as Google Webmasters Tools to verify these tracking errors and correct them if they exist.
As I was saying, getting a good position is a matter of patience, so don’t expect to appear at the top of the search engines immediately.
