Starbucks releases a new glass that has more capacity than the human stomach

Starbucks, the North American chain of cafeterias, has launched a new format of glasses that will contain more liquid than a human stomach can support.

‘Thirty’ is the new name of the format that the chain from Seattle has launched. These new glasses will carry almost a liter of drink, 916 milliliters, and will only cost 50 cents.

The new launch of the world-renowned Starbucks, for the moment, will only reach some of its American establishments, to later spread throughout the country as of May 3. In the event that the launch works, it will be extended to the countries in which the chain is already established.

The ‘Trenta’ will have 63% more content than the ‘Venti’, which with 561 milliliters is currently its largest measurement.

Consumer associations in the United States, one of the most obese countries in the world, have already begun to complain about the caloric weight that the drinks contained in this format could have.

However, Starbucks has defended itself by claiming that the ‘Trenta’ will only be intended for low-calorie cold drinks such as iced coffee and lemonade. According to those responsible for the chain, it will contain drinks that are between 90 and 230 calories.
