The Avramar aquaculture group invoices 385 million euros, 3.5% more

Based in Vall d’Uixo (Castellón), it closed last year with a turnover of 385.25 million euros, 3.5% more than in 2020.

The aquaculture group has among its main partners the North American fund Amerra Capital and the Mubadala Investment Company, the sovereign wealth fund of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. In addition, this year it plans to continue expanding its activity on the Valencian coast.

Thus, the company plans to start the expansion of its marine farm in Calpe (Alicante) shortly, and it is expected that they will be completed in June 2023. The breeding species that are going to be cultivated in these hatcheries are sea bream, sea bass and croaker and the first stockings of fingerlings -which will be sea bream and sea bass- are scheduled for May of this year.

In addition, this year the ten cages that were pending for 2022 will be installed at the new farm in El Campello (Alicante) and, in addition, the first generation will begin to fish, scheduled for September. The start-up of this facility involves an investment of 7 million euros and has a dimension of 144 hectares. The species that the company will produce in El Campello, a total of 5,000 tons per year, will be sea bream, sea bass and, to a greater extent, rex croaker, the flagship of the aquaculture group in our country. The complex is made up of forty nurseries.
