The clothing and home chain Pepco enters Spain with stores in Castellón and Alicante

The chain of discount clothing and home stores Pepco, belonging to the same owner as the British stores Poundland and Dealz, begins its landing in Spain after being there.

The opening of the first two Pepco stores is scheduled for next spring. One of them will be located in Castellón and the second in Alicante.

In its expansion plan in our country, the company plans to open another 10 stores and employ more than 100 people. It is currently in the process of searching for new commercial locations that are approximately 500 to 700 square meters in size, located in cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the company explained in a statement.

Originally launched in Poland in 2004, Pepco has since expanded mainly to countries in Central and Northern Europe. Thus, Pepco currently operates in more than 2,100 establishments located in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The offer of Pepco stores is oriented towards the sale of children’s, women’s and men’s clothing (including underwear and shoes), accessories, toys and low-priced household equipment. According to the company itself, it is currently one of the largest sellers of children’s clothing in Europe thanks to its range of products for children from 0 to 14 years of age.

The brand belongs to the holding company Pepco Group, which also includes the Poundland and Dealz discount chains. Its owner is the Steinhoff conglomerate, which also owns Conforama.
