The luxury resort with the largest pool in the world, San Alfonso del Mar, has just released a video where it covers the entire length of the pool.
Located in Algarrobo, Chile, this luxury resort on the shores of the Pacific Ocean has the longest artificial pool in the world, thanks to its 1,013 meters in length.
The construction of this pool was carried out by the Chilean company Crystal Lagoons and required more than five years of work. The result is an extensive pool of more than a kilometer in length, a maximum depth of three meters and containing more than 250 million liters of salt water obtained directly from the sea. The clarity of the pool is due to a process of oxygen saturation under pressure.
Such dimensions allow that in this artificial lagoon you can practice different water activities such as diving, windsurfing or canoeing. It required an investment of 3.5 million dollars.
Regarding the resort, inaugurated in 1988 by businessman Fernando Fischmann, its facilities are distributed in more than 11 buildings with a total of 1,300 apartments. In addition, each building has its own dock, private beach and pool.
As a good vacation spot, they also have a large number of restaurants, spas, supermarkets, shops and the largest aquarium in Chile, as well as the largest glass pyramid.
