The logs

A log is a record of system activity, which is generally saved in a text file, to which lines are added as actions are performed on the system.

It is used in many different cases, to store information about the activity of various systems.
Perhaps its most immediate use in our activities as web developers would be the access log to the web server, which, when analyzed, provides information on the traffic of our site. Any web server has a log with the accesses, but in addition, they usually have other logs, for example, errors.

Operating systems also usually work with logs, for example to save incidents, errors, user access, etc.

Through the logs, information can be found to detect possible problems in the event that a system does not work as it should or a security incident has occurred.
