These are the best television brands, according to the OCU: the first is specialized in mobile phones

Who does not have one or even two televisions at home? It is difficult to imagine a Spanish home without a large screen, which in recent years has become the vast majority of flat screens, with Internet access and the largest possible size. For this reason, the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has decided where one that is not specialized in this sector triumphs over the classic ones.

The name of Xiaomi is indisputably linked to mobile phones. One of the quintessential Chinese brands that in recent years has managed to dominate the technology sector also has other devices such as smart watches, tablets, headphones and even televisions.

One last sector where it has been positioned as the best brand on the market, at least as far as the OCU is concerned. With a general satisfaction of 82 points, out of 100, the leader in Hi-Tech rises above companies much more closely linked to these screens such as Panasonic, LG, Sony or Samsung.

Reliability, the great aspect to be improved by Xiaomi and where its competitors outperform

It is precisely these four firms that occupy the following positions, with ratings of 81, the Japanese, and 80, the next three, all of them do exceed Xiaomi in reliability. And it is that the OCU highlights this aspect as the point where the Chinese technology can still improve despite being the first in the general classification for customers.

Finally, the institution also points out that the biggest breakdowns come with the remote control and the screen. In the same way, in Spain there is a constant evolution towards Smart TV, 70% of televisions already have this feature, and although there is still reluctance to buy the latest models (only 30% have lost three years of life ), the average duration of a screen exceeds 8 years.
