These are the limits of operations and amounts that Bizum allows to do per day and per month

Since the Bizum applications started working, they have only expanded. Its usefulness leaves no room for doubt and both its instantaneousness and its ease of use are unquestionable. However, many are still unaware of some of its limitations.

“We are accustomed to using Bizum to organize a fundraiser among people who have to send their contribution. For example, for gifts or celebrations, it is one of the most comfortable ways to collect that money that comes from many people. But do you know what Is there a limit to the operations that you can receive through Bizum?”, they say from the Banking Client Portal, the blog of the Bank of Spain.

As indicated from this blog, the limit on operations received for individuals is 60 shipments per month. And in the event that a shipment is intended to be made to a recipient that has exceeded this amount, the platform notifies the issuer with a message indicating that the operation cannot be carried out. Therefore, no movement will be made from the issuer’s account.

This limit, on the other hand, does not affect self-employed workers, who can receive an unlimited number of operations if they register their account through a bank as if it were a business.

However, there are other limits that affect both individuals and businesses that do not have to do with the number of shipments, but with the economic amount of them.

Thus, the maximum transfer per operation is 1,000 euros, while the minimum must be 0.50 euros. In the same way, a client cannot send more than 2,000 euros in a day (through different operations) nor more than 5,000 euros in a month. Nor can a client receive more than 2,000 euros in a single day.
