The silhouette of the bitten apple is a worldwide recognized symbol, everyone knows that it belongs to Apple and accompanies all the brand’s devices on the back, however, few know that the logo on the iPhone It’s not just advertising, but in recent years it has become another tool with which you can take screenshots and many other things.
Since 2020 and on all iPhone models that operate with the iOS 14 or higher operating system, a series of commands can be established using the back button of the phone, that is, the bitten apple logo.
How to turn on Touch Back
This function is activated very easily, you just have to follow these simple steps to turn the Apple logo into one more button. The first is to enter the Settings of your iPhone and go to Accessibility, once here you have to go to Physical and Motor Skills and select the Touch option.
To then scroll down until you find the option to Touch Back. Once here you will see that you can activate up to two commands, one that is activated with two touches on the logo and another that is activated with three touches on the bitten apple.
What functions can I activate?
As we have already told you, by activating this function you can take a screenshot with just two taps on the logo, but this is only one of the many things that can be done. We can also make the screen lock, activate Siri, silence the phone, lower or increase the volume…
Although this is not the only thing and with the Touch Back function we can also make our iPhone more accessible since with a double or triple press you can activate the AssistiveTouch, the Screen Reading or the Magnifying Glass. And you can even turn it into a shortcut to directly open an application that you have installed on your smartphone.
Best of all, this tool works even with a case on, although it may seem like if your case is very thick, the phone will not notice the touches and it will not activate.
