Little by little, prefabricated houses are ceasing to be almost exclusively the province of small start-ups and are now being seen on the shelves of department stores.
In the case of Leroy Merlin, the multinational specialized in DIY, construction, decoration and gardening, they do not sell complete prefabricated houses, but rather offer booths with the capacity to house one or two compartments, without a bathroom or kitchen.
The Wooden Shed (from the French manufacturer Décor et Jardin), with a total area of 24 square meters (4.97 x 4.97) and 21 useful square meters, is ideal for providing a complementary room such as a living room, study or meeting room , as exemplified by the seller. “Its size is perfect, for example, to create a storage area, a games room or a work or study corner with views of the garden,” they point out on their website.

Crafted from solid Scandinavian pine wood, the modular home features two double-glazed tilt-and-turn windows, as well as double-locking doors for added security.
It has 60-millimeter glass wool thermal insulation on both the walls and the ceiling, located almost two and a half meters (2.49) from the ground. Also, it incorporates a flat cover with EPDM insulation to protect against rain. What it does not include, according to the seller, is the floor and the mounting kit.
Although its sale price is 11,737 euros, Leroy Merlin is currently offering this booth for 10,563.30 euros, with a saving of 10% (1,173.70 euros).
Smaller (and cheaper)
Another similar option but with a lower price (and dimensions) is the Wooden Shed, of which only 15 are useful. It has exactly the same features as its older sister, including the two windows and the door with a double lock.
Only the dimensions change, with its sides being 4.62 x 3.30 (with the same height), and the price; for sale for 10,207.00 euros, currently has the same discount of 10% (9,186.30 euros).
