The Socimi Saint Croix has formalized the acquisition of a building in Madrid owned by El Corte Inglés, in which the distribution chain has the headquarters of Viajes El Corte Inglés, where it also provides the telephone sales service.
The gross leasable office area of the building, located at Avenida de Cantabria 51, is 9,237 square meters and has 75 parking spaces, as reported by Saint Croix to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The socimi has not revealed the amount of the transaction, but has reported that the property is transferred with a long-term lease in force. Saint Croix has also bought another building in Madrid, owned by Asón Inmobiliaria de Arriendos, where the headquarters of the Civil Chamber of the Provincial Court of Madrid are located.
In this way, the lease will remain with the Community of Madrid. This second building is 6,348 square meters and has 118 parking spaces. “Both acquisitions reinforce the company’s investment strategy in the office segment, betting on good locations and long-term contracts with clients of recognized solvency,” the socimi has defended.
