Sometimes life hits us like the one it gave to Claudio Vieira de Oliveira, this young man who was born with various physical defects, including his head upside down. But at the same time, he surprises us by giving us stories like that of the Brazilian, a pure example of optimism and improvement.
Claudio was born 37 years ago in Monte Santo, Brazil, and his illness prevented him from doing daily tasks that for any of us are absolutely normal since he was a child.
His neck is bent so far back that his head hangs upside down on his back, but in addition, his limbs suffer deformities that make it impossible for him to perform common tasks of daily life.
Although the doctors gave him a few months to live when he was born, his willpower and desire to live have made him get ahead. In statements collected by the Daily Mirror, his mother explains that “they began to tell me that the baby would die because he could barely breathe when he was born.”
But Vieira showed the world that no difficulty is impossible to overcome. He himself says that he is able to turn on the television, answer the cell phone and even use the internet. In fact, he has managed to graduate as an accountant from the State University of Feira de Santana. And not only that, he is now dedicated to telling his story at conferences throughout Brazil.
