In the seventh class of the VPS course we are going to install a manager for our virtual server that will allow us to manage it through a web interface.
7 – Installing Webmin
Surely at some point you have had to deal with cPanel. A manager that allows us to configure and manage our hosting. Well, today we are going to install Webmin on our virtual server, which is a free version that will allow us to do the same.
We are going to do it step by step, we will see what it allows us to do with clicks, and how in reality it is nothing that we cannot do by Shell.
Done, we already have it. Our manager is already available. We can now access it through the indicated port, and tinker with our virtual server.
Although this step is optional, we see how it is a very convenient way to work without consuming server resources. In the next classes we will see how to do certain facilities with it, and what shell instructions “hides” under that interface.
