Porsche, KIA and Jaguar occupy the first three positions in the ranking of the prestigious consulting firm JD Power on quality in the automotive sector, in an edition in which, in general terms, the good position of the Korean firms stands out.
The fourth best positioned firm has been Hyundai, ahead of Infiniti, which closes the classification of the five best positioned brands in the report.
General Motors has managed to place four models within this quality classification, the same number as Hyundai, Kia, Nissan and Volkswagen. BMW has three models in the ranking, compared to another three from Toyota, two from Lexus, two from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, two from Ford and one from Mazda.
In this edition, the report highlights the experience and progress year by year in the quality of Korean brands, while Japanese companies have recorded, for the first time in 29 years, quality standards below the industry average.
