In today’s class we are going to see how to create and manage projects on our Intranet, and link them with all the types of content we have created.

10 – Projects

Today we finish the course on creating an Intranet in WordPress with a functionality that will be the icing on the cake: Projects.

Projects will allow us to turn our Intranet into a great tool for organizing and managing teams that are working on the same project. We will be able to create one, assign administrators, collaborators and guests to it, and link files, pages, tasks, and even conversations to it in an easy and fast way.

This tool means taking our intranet one step further, to turn it into a collaboration tool. Let’s see how to do it step by step:

You see it! A great tool with high control flexibility: We can assign roles and content to each project based on our needs, or what our clients ask us for. Let’s give an example of homework:

  • Create the “New Product” project
  • Assign a team consisting of
    • 2 administrators
    • 5 collaborators
    • 20 guests
  • Assign the following resources:
    • Project PDF
    • Product Images
    • Pages with minutes of meetings
    • Brainstorming conversation about the project
    • List of key tasks, linked to the percentage of completion of the project
