Welcome to the eighth class of the . In today’s class we will see how iThemes Security works, a very complete security WordPress plugin and quite a veteran in this world.
8 – iThemes Security
This plugin is a veteran in WordPress. It used to be called Better WP Security, but then iThemes bought it and renamed it (although it remains the same). There was a bit of a shaky transition time, but now it’s working perfectly. Let’s see how it works.
As you can see, very complete, because it allows us to do everything without any code. Personally I think that there are some things that are not necessary, but come on, it is better to be healthy than to fall short. In any case, today’s homework would be:
- Install iThemes Security
- Perform all high priority tasks
- Perform all medium priority tasks
- Perform all low priority tasks
Remember that you should not activate the SSL of the control panel if you do not have that service contracted. And that you do not have to activate the backup copies of the files with the plugin that they recommend. You can do that with any other that we have seen.
So, this is all for today’s class. As I already said in the previous lesson, this plugin is also a candidate for the next security course that we will do, in which we will dedicate 10 chapters to just one of these plugins.
