Work calendar 2021: all the holidays and bridges that remain this year in Madrid

As the coronavirus vaccination campaign progresses throughout Spain, it makes more and more sense to know which are the long weekends and holidays of the year, always with the intention that when restrictions allow it, you can travel and enjoy a period of rest.

Each autonomous community has its own personalized calendar of holidays. The Community of Madrid, therefore, is not an exception and has its own. together with the rest of the regions and makes it available to the citizen.

There are three types of holidays:

-National holidays that are determined by the state labor calendar.

-National holidays in which the communities do not exercise the substitution capacity.

-The festivities of each autonomous community.

In the Community of Madrid, several of the 2021 holidays have already taken place. This is the case of New Year (January 1), Three Kings Day (January 6), San José (on March 19), Thursday and Good Friday (April 1 and 2). But the vast majority still remain. They are the following:

-Saturday May 1: Labor Party.

-Monday May 3: Monday following the Day of the Community of Madrid.

-Tuesday October 12: National Holiday of Spain.

-Monday, November 1: All Saints’ Day.

-Monday, December 6: Day of the Spanish Constitution.

-Wednesday, December 8: Immaculate Conception.

-Saturday December 25: Christmas.
