Acciona will reform the Military Hospital of Mislata for 27 million

The Generalitat Valenciana has awarded Acciona the contract for the expansion and reform of the Manuela Solís Clarás Quart Military Hospital in Poblet-Mislata (Valencia) for 27 million and an execution period of thirty months, according to company sources.

ACCIONA () will build two new buildings after demolishing existing ones and will increase the height of the covered circulation galleries that connect all the buildings. In addition, it will improve existing facilities to obtain energy efficient buildings. The works will be carried out in several phases, which will allow the center to be kept in operation.

The reform of the Hospital, co-financed by European Union (EU) funds, framed within the Feder financing programs, aims to strengthen hospital care for chronic patients, long-term patients and mental health in the Valencian Community.

The project

After the expansion and reform, the military hospital will have 160 hospitalization beds: 120 beds for the long-term medical area and 40 beds for mental health. In the first phase of the works, 40 long-stay beds and another 40 for mental health will be enabled, while in the second phase of the works the remaining 80 beds will be installed.

To this end, two new buildings will be built, one that will house the diagnostic imaging areas, warehouses and changing rooms, and another that will be used for the admission and administration areas, and the five already existing ones will be renovated, in which works will be carried out. on roofs and facades to achieve greater waterproofing and insulation.

Both in the existing ones and in the new buildings, there will be an improvement in energy and environmental efficiency, which will focus on the reinforcement and insulation of the exterior enclosures, installation of LED type technology in lighting, the installation of photovoltaic energy and equipment high performance air conditioning.

The project will have a second phase, with which the overall budget by the Ministry of Health exceeds 43 million.
