Amovens closes a round of €7.3 M with which to boost its expansion in Europe – Marketing 4 Ecommerce – Your online marketing magazine for e-commerce

The Spanish collaborative mobility company Amovens and its Danish parent company GoMore have closed a 7.3 million euro deal, of which most comes from the Swiss insurance giant Baloise Group. Of this investment, which is the largest the company has received since its inception, Baloise has contributed approximately 5 million euros, while the rest comes from company shareholders. Baloise’s participation represents a strategic investment for the Swiss giant as it begins in sustainable mobility. A market that, in recent years, has not stopped growing and undergoing radical changes, and where Amovens has become one of the main European players.

As the company explained in a statement, «This injection of capital ensures the growth of Amovens in the already existing markets: Spain, , Sweden and Finlandas well as the opening of new countries».

Amovens, in full European expansion

Amovens, which merged in 2015 with the GoMore car sharing network, account in Spain with more than 1.5 million users and accumulates 2.7 million in total in Europe, but with the new investment it plans to soon open new markets that increase its international presence, promoting a collaborative economy model that seeks to promote an alternative way of traveling while reducing costs.

Amovens promotes shared mobility through car rental between individuals, the use of shared vehicles when traveling or making use of ‘Amovens Sin Llaves’, a rental service with which a vehicle can be rented when it is not in use.

In fact, ‘Amovens Without Keys’ is the company’s latest release and allows both car owners and rental companies to rent their vehicles without having to physically go and hand over the keys. ‘No Keys’, is the solution so that a car can be reserved, unlocked and locked once your rental ends through the Amovens application.

Amovens Keyless makes car sharing even easier and more comfortable for everyone. With this service we want to ensure that the ownership of the vehicles is parked in the world, forever“, Explain Alberto Bajjali, CEO Amovens.

From Amovens they recall that in 2020 around 850,000 new passenger cars were registered in Spain and that the production of a single car emits approximately 8 tons of CO2, while the figure is approximately double for electric cars. However, the cars are stopped for more than 23 hours a day on average, “which is a problem for the environment because all the CO2 emissions generated in its manufacture do not compensate for the use that, finally, is made of the vehicles”.

«Sustainable mobility is the present and Baloise is a very strong partner that now shares a journey with us. This investment demonstrates that Amovens, and our parent company GoMore, have become a crucial player in shared mobility in Europe.. Our mission has always been to help people share cars and thus take care of the planet. We want to reduce those metal statues parked in the streets to make way for more green areas and this investment will allow us to continue with it steadily“, Explain Alberto Bajjali, CEO of Amovens.
