In the tenth and final class of the Anchor course we are going to see what we can do with the Anchor mobile application, including features that do not appear in the web version of the application.
And it is that it is increasingly common to find tools that give greater importance to their mobile version and that is what happens with Anchor. The company is aware of the importance of offering an alternative that they can take everywhere to manage their podcasts, and what better way than to do it with their mobile?
With this application you will be able to record, add music, sound effects, edit the audio, tag the episodes, publish them directly, schedule them, invite other participants and even generate a video with the transcription of the episode and all without leaving there. Is it a dream? ? No, it’s Anchor XD Let’s go see it!
Do you realize how insultingly simple it is to create a new podcast and manage it? I can think of a thousand and one ideas to take advantage of this application. Whether you are seasoned podcasters or just starting out, you should give this new concept a spin and adapt some, if not all, of your content to this new paradigm.
Let’s take the example of a mechanic who works daily in his workshop. It may seem that this profession is beyond being able to create audio content to attract customers, but if we think a little, we could focus it on creating a podcast with vehicle diagnostics. The mechanic would only have to take out his mobile phone and tell what fault he has and how he is going to solve it, then take a photo of the vehicle with the same mobile phone to put it as a cover, write the make and model and describe the fault. I am sure that this very niche content would have a lot of followers. From people who have the same fault, to professionals looking for information.
So, to have some fun and finish assimilating everything learned, this time I suggest you do the following:
- Download the Anchor app
- Sign in with your account
- Record a new episode “On Go” (Walking, in the car or somewhere other than usual)
- Add Spotify Background Music
- tag the episode
- Take a photo to add as a cover
- Ask a question or poll
- Ask to be sent a voice message to the podcast
- add it to episode
- schedule post
- Make the use process but with a guest (Co-Host)
- Generate a video transcript to share on social networks.
And everything you can think of! As you can see, there are hundreds of options. Imagination to power! So I invite you to try all the options, to see how it turns out. The important thing is that you find the format that best suits your day-to-day life and your content.
Monetization is another of the key points. This same mechanic could activate monetization in the episodes in which it resolves with hairs and signs as the repair has proceeded. As you can see, it’s just a matter of giving it a twist and launching into it because the technical barrier has completely disappeared with Anchor.
