Apple Care + will start covering the loss and theft of the iPhone for the first time in Spain

The iPhone assistance and repair service, Apple Care +, has extended its coverage in Spain, and also in France and Italy, to start protecting the user against the loss and theft of his phone when until relatively recently there was only one plan against accidental damage.

The Apple Care + insurance policy is a service that extends the warranty of the different Apple products and offers you technical assistance from the company’s experts as well as coverage for new hardware, if necessary.

For several years, in the US, the apple company has offered two types of coverage, Apple Care +, which includes a minimum of two incidents of accidental damage every 12 months, in addition to other battery repair services or rapid replacement services. And Apple Care + with theft and loss, which apart from covering the same as the previous policy also includes coverage if you suffer a theft or lose the phone.

Depending on the incident, the user has to pay an extra that varies depending on the service, for example, in the event that the screen is damaged there will be a surcharge of 29 euros. Until now, only the first policy was available in Spain, however, the team discovered that Apple had extended theft and loss coverage to Spain, Italy and France.

That means that any user within these territories will be able to contract this service. Depending on the iPhone model you have, the price may vary, with the highest being €14.49 per month or €289 every two years if you have the iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max, and the lowest if you have the iPhone SE. 3rd generation you have to pay 7.49 euros per month or a total of 149 euros every two years.

As we have already mentioned before, apart from the monthly payment that you have to pay for the service, an extra is charged and in the event that your iPhone is lost or stolen, you must pay 129 euros. That means that if you lose the party mobile, you only have to pay 129 euros instead of the more than 1,000 euros that the iPhone 13 costs, to get a new one. Any claim must be made within a maximum period of two years.
