BizAway closes a €10M round to boost its growth in the business travel sector – Marketing 4 Ecommerce – Your online marketing magazine for e-commerce

The Catalan bizaway, specializing in business travel, announced this Wednesday an investment of 10 million euros obtained from a recent Series A. A round that has had the participation of venture capital funds from the technology sector Gellify, Digitech and Exor Seeds, in addition to other international investors.

Additionally, MundiVenturesthe only institutional investor already present in the company for a long time and that has the support of XesGaliciahas also once again placed its trust in the Barcelona-based company, as have the existing shareholders.

The company thus obtains the desired financing to take off its business and expand to other markets outside of Spain. In addition, the startup will focus efforts to open more jobs and increasingly consolidate the brand in the markets where it is currently present. The company’s forecast is to double the workforce this year, and Quadrupling the turnover of 2021, thus reaching 30 million euros.

“This financing makes us even stronger in the international business travel landscape and will allow us to continue implementing our ambitious plan, always improving and integrating new functionalities, as well as allowing us to invest even more in our team, both technical and operational, and to open two offices more in Europe at the end of the year”, expressed Flavio Del Bianco, CTO and co-founder.
