Bizum is already a reality for ING: this is how you can activate it through the bank’s app

If a novelty has entered Spanish banks with great force in recent months, that is Bizum. The fast form of payment between customers, even from different entities, has become popular thanks to the ease of making transfers only knowing the phone number of the other person. However, until now a bank resisted the new fashion but . This is , which since the end of July already allows you to work with your clients.

Since 2016, ING decided to bet on its Twyp application to implement simple and secure payments among its customers. However, the strength of Bizum has ended up bending the hand of the Dutch bank to open its doors to one of the great demands of its users. Although it will still accommodate Twyp, like Google Pay and Apple Pay, the ‘bizums’ are already a reality in the orange entity.

These are the steps to activate Bizum

In order to operate under this form of instant transfers, ING customers must have the bank’s app on their mobile phones. Once it is installed, starting to use Bizum will be as easy as clicking on the Transfers option, where a drop-down menu will open with the Bizum option and then clicking on Activate Bizum.

After these first steps, ING will enable the usual security terms and conditions. Once accepted, we will have to choose the account we want to use for payments and the mobile number to which it is associated.

Finally, a verification code will arrive on the phone, via SMS, which will have to be entered to finish completing the process. Once everything is accepted, ING will send a new SMS to confirm that Bizum is fully enabled.

These last two will be the main options that will be displayed whenever we access the service through the application, while we will find out about deposits in our account with a simple SMS that will arrive on the associated mobile phone confirming that the money has arrived.
