Blender Course #10. Import objects – .com

In the tenth and last class of the Blender course we are going to see how to export and import objects, the compatible formats and programs that we can support.

Blender works with most standardized formats, as well as working with its own format. This allows us to use predefined objects and work together with other applications.

We are going to know how we can import objects, where to get them, and with what formats and other applications Blender is capable of working. Let’s start!

In this class we have seen how Blender is capable of working with a wide spectrum of formats. From the classic .obj files to native files from applications like Cinema 4D or 3Ds Max.

This positions Blender in an ideal tool to serve as a bridge in the development of any type of project, we can always rely on other applications that have more specific tools for a certain type of task.

We have also seen where we can get 3D models to be able to use them in our projects and that they will help us in our learning process. We have a multitude of resources on the web such as TurboSquid.com, where we can have access to objects, animations and scenes that we can use in Blender to practice and see how certain processes are done.

As homework, we encourage you to review this course as many times as necessary and we will practice the knowledge we have acquired. Our priority is to be able to move around the interface and 3D space with ease. Also create objects and know the basics of their molding. It will serve as a basis for subsequent courses, where we will introduce ourselves to the world of 3D modeling and animations.
