What I recommend, for optimization reasons, is to upload your large video files to another service. If you upload videos periodically and want them to be private, you can evaluate Vimeo, in the pro version.
Another option for private videos is to upload to Amazon S3 simple storage, also for a fee.
If they are public videos you can use vimeo, in a free version, or YouTube.
The problem with uploading the video to hosting is that if there are many simultaneous users, you may have to wait a long time for the video to load since it is not a specialized platform for that service.
