Castilla y León completely closes the hotel and catering industry and brings forward the trade in 53 municipalities to six o’clock

The vice president of the Board and spokesman, Francisco Igea, has announced this Saturday the closure of the terraces, children’s and youth centers, as well as the suspension of the activity of museums, archives and theaters and the advancement of the closure of establishments at 6:00 p.m. in 53 municipalities of the nine provinces of the Community.

Francisco Igea has appeared electronically before the media after the meeting of the Extraordinary Council that was held this Saturday to adopt new restrictive measures that help stop the expansion and incidence of the Coronavirus in the Community because, as he has specified, in In these municipalities the epidemiological incidence “is out of control”.

Moreover, the vice president has assured that if the communities had been given legal tools in the last Interterritorial Health Council to be able to agree on containment measures, these 53 municipalities would have been confined.

The Agreement that gives legal coverage to this situation will be fully in force once it is published tomorrow in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León, and its application will be from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31.

Thus, all catering activities are suspended both inside establishments and on outdoor terraces, with the exceptions of home delivery or pick-up, hotel restaurants and other tourist accommodation, catering services integrated into health centers and services , socio-sanitary and social, school canteens and canteen services of a social nature; the catering services of fuel supply establishments or loading or unloading centers or prepared food vendors.

The opening to the public of libraries, archives, museums and exhibition halls, monuments and other cultural facilities is suspended, except for the loan and return service of works, by appointment.

The list of affected municipalities will be updated every seven calendar days based on the indicators established by the competent health authority, a cumulative incidence in the last seven days equal to or greater than 1,500 per 100,000 inhabitants, number of cases equal to or greater than ten in the last 14 days and the relationship between the cumulative incidence at 7-14 days equal to or greater than 0.45, in order to contain the community transmission of the pandemic and reduce the pressure of care in health centers and services.

-BURGOS: Nava de Roa, Huerta del Rey, Santo Domingo de Silos and Treviño County.

-LEÓN: Santa Coloma de Somoza, Bercianos del Real, Bercianos del Páramo, Santa María de Ordás, Vegaquemada, Quintana and Congosto, Villademor, Villaornate, Turcia, Cimanes de la Vega, Puebla de Lillo, Val de San Lorenzo, Valencia de Don Juan, Urdiales del Páramo, Villaquejida, Laguna de Dalga, and Bembibre.
