Create personalized ringtones on your mobile | Blog

Are you tired of always listening to the same song every time your cell phone rings? Don’t you like any of the options your phone offers you? Don’t worry, because you’re in luck, since today we will teach you how to create personalized ringtones.

We are going to see how to do it on both Android and iPhone, but we warned you, Apple does not like this, and with the update of its iOS 11.1 operating system, it has made it almost impossible.

So let’s first see how to create custom ringtones on Android.

How to create custom ringtones on an Android phone

Android allows the modification of the mobile and each phone is different, to the liking of its owner. This is why you won’t have too much trouble creating custom ringtones.

You can always use a computer, and software like Audacity, to cut that mp3 song that you like and transfer it to your mobile by connecting the phone to the laptop, but here we are going to explain the simplest way: Do it with an app and using only your phone.

To do this, do the following: download to your mobile. It has ads, but it’s free. Then open it. You will see that the App shows you the music you have on your phone to create personalized ringtones from it.

Obviously, if you don’t have the song or mp3 you want as a ringtone, you first have to get it and put it on your phone.

Now choose the desired song and you will see that, when you click on the 3 dots on the right (the menu icon), various options appear. You can put the song as is, as a tone, but what we want is a single piece, our favorite fragment.

For that, we click on the Edit option (see the images below).

With that, the song appears and two cursors to move them. With them we can choose the right part of the song and create perfect personalized tones that start and end wherever we want.

Once we have our favorite piece, we click on the top save icon and it asks us to give it a name.

The App already saves the piece of song in the appropriate folder on your phone. In fact, when finished it gives you the option to set it as the default ringtone, assign it to a contact… etc.

As you can see, it couldn’t be easier to create custom ringtones on an Android phone.

How to create custom ringtones on an iPhone

As we said, the bad news for Apple users is that Apple does not like it when you modify things on its phones and is famous for going patching the options that allow it with your iOS operating system updates.

So, if you have iOS 11.1 or higher, the ability to create custom ringtones has been restricted. Because? Because Apple wants you to buy the tunes for your phone on iTunes and pay for them.

Although there are applications similar to Ringtone Maker for iOS, the one we recommend is Ringtone Designer and you can download it. If your iOS is on a version lower than 11.1, it will work in a very similar way to what we have explained on Android.

From music purchased on iTunes, or otherwise transferred to your iPhone, you can cut and save parts of those songs as ringtones.

If you are updated to the latest version, this option will most likely have stopped working for you.

You see, creating custom ringtones is very easy on Android, but very difficult on iPhone.
