The study has been carried out on 18,618 pages of professionals, brands, eCommerce and which had a average of 20,470 followers. Through them, the types of publication, their frequency and interactions have been analysed, among other aspects.

The frequency with which to publish on Facebook is a key aspect to improve the reach of the posts and it is shown that it is directly related to the number of followers. The more a page has, the more often it posts. The mean is in 1.32 posts per daydecreasing the data in accounts with less than 500 followers, which are limited to 21 per month on average.

Facebook is a network that little by little it has been opening up to different formats, but images continue to be the most used content; specifically in 52% of the publications. Followed, in that order, by links, videos, and status posts.

It highlights that the video is in third position being one of the most booming contents in the communities and that in fact generates more interaction in this social network. Sharing a video seems more effective than doing it with other content: in the accounts analyzed, the average interaction of a video post is 1,809.42 interactions.

What is the best day and time to post on Facebook

One of the great challenges of the community manager is choosing the best day and time to upload your brand’s publications to Facebook. Each user is unique and has their customs, but the conclusions of the study show that it is a “routine” social network. It’s used mainly monday to thursday confirming that Sunday is the worst day.

Specifically, publishing on the last day of the week reduces the results by 37.37% compared to the Thursday; the most suitable day. However, between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday there are no notable differences.

Keeping in mind that it is more relevant to publish during the week, the hours are also of great importance. Although Facebook seems to be a social network for routine use, as the day progresses, better results are obtained starting at dawn with very low data and reaching between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. the hour with the highest audience.
